Microsoft's SwiftKey keyboard integrates Bing search with ChatGPT

6 Apr. (Portaltic/EP) –

The new Bing ‘chatbot’, based on ChatGPT, is now available on the keyboard of Microsoft Swift Keywhich introduces the search engine icon in its interface to allow users to make queries with its Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

It was at the beginning of February when Microsoft presented the new version of Bing and its browser, Edge, supported by the technology developed by OpenAI. So, he pointed out that this ‘chatbot’ would be able to offer “more complete” answers, a new chat experience and ability to generate content.

In mid-March, the company announced that it had customized GPT 4 for Bing search, where users who had accessed the preview in the previous weeks they had been able to verify the improvements that it incorporates compared to GPT 3.5, the previous version that powered this ‘chatbot’.

Now, users of Microsoft’s virtual keyboard, SwiftKey -available on iOS and Android phones and tablets- have noticed that it has a shortcut to access Bing in any application that integrates this tool.

The Bing icon is located next to other common ones on this keyboard, such as the emoticons, the clipboard, the ‘To Do’ symbol or the language change symbol, as some users have shared through Reddit.

This option, which it is “rolling slowly”, as the CTO of Commerce and mobile devices of Microsodt has advanced, Pedram Rezaeiis currently available in the beta version of the keyboard, available on Google Play, although it has not yet reached iOS.
