In two months, the fortune of David Vélez, CEO of Nubank, would have been reduced by nearly 4 billion dollars. This is based on the November list of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, when the businessman ranked first among the richest people in Colombia.

According to the index, as of November 7, 2024, Vélez’s assets stood at $14.8 billion. The amount managed to surpass that of Alejandro Santo Domingo, who maintained the leadership, and which at that time reached 14.4 billion dollars.

‘Bloomberg online’ pointed out that Vélez’s overtaking of the Santo Domingos occurred throughout that day when the director of the neobank earned 348 million dollars, while that of the family was reduced by 168 million dollars.

As of January 12, and according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the fortune of the Santo Domingos stands at 13.9 billion dollars, which places them in 161st place in the general ranking. For his part, David Vélez is in position 244, with a net worth of around 10.8 billion dollars.
