MADRID 19 Oct. () –
Simon Fieschi, one of the employees of the French satirical magazine ‘Charlie Hebdo’ who survived the massacre committed in 2015 by Al Qaeda sympathizers, died this past Thursday after enduring the aftermath of the shooting against the media’s editorial office for nine years.
Fieschi was one of the first employees to be shot and his movement was affected for several years by a gunshot.
The Police have opened an investigation into the causes of his death, finally announced by his lawyer and reported by the French media. Fieschi was working as the media’s website manager at the time of the attack.
The shooting resulted in the death of a dozen people and led to a wave of international demonstrations in favor of the medium, threatened with violence for years by Islamic extremism for having published numerous cartoons considered offensive against the Muslim world.
