Both the pilot and his companion on board were unharmed.

A small plane made an emergency landing this Sunday, avoiding a last-minute collision with the roof of a hangar at Bankstown airport, in Sydney, Australia, reports ABCNews.

A video of what happened shows the Cessna 210 plane flying very low over houses near the airport, almost colliding with the treetops, before sliding down a taxiway and skidding to the grass.

The pilot, Jake Swanepoel, with 30 years of flying experience, was unharmed, as was Karin, his companion on board.

According to Swanepoel, the aircraft had engine problems during the flight. “I was planning, there was no power“, he told local media. Meanwhile, Karin stated that they did not believe they would reach the runway and crash into the houses. “It was very, very close,” he said.

The representative of the Australian Transport Safety Bureau also stated that the forced landing was due to a loss of power of the plane, noting that they are now gathering more information, including the pilot’s report, before making a decision to start or not an investigation.
