Transsion (fourth place in the IDC report) is one of the most important cases, as it registered a growth of 84.9% compared to last year, going from 15.4 million units to 28.5 and obtaining a 9.9% share in the global telephone market intelligent.

Although it is a brand unknown to many, Transsion is behind other companies that have gained relevance in the industry, since it is the owner of Tecno, Itel and Infinix, the latter with a greater presence in the Mexican market.

The company's headquarters are located in Shenzhen, China, and it operates in more than 70 countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa, a continent where it has positioned itself as one of the main market leaders for its affordable products adapted to local needs.

“Xiaomi is recovering strongly from the large declines experienced in recent years and Transsion is becoming a stable presence in the Top 5 with aggressive growth in international markets,” commented IDC research director Nabila Popal.

Huawei and Honor did not manage to make it onto the list this quarter, but according to Counterpoint Research data, they were among the brands with the best sales performance during the first month and a half of the year.

Apple falls and Samsung recovers
