At least 20 people died and about 70 were injured late Monday after a bus and a van collided head-on in the surroundings of the South African province of Limpopo (north), as confirmed by the ER24 emergency service, which has indicated that the bus fell off a bridge following the collision.
“20 people have been confirmed dead and 68 injured in a head-on accident between a bus and a cash van on the N1 in the Makhado area of Limpopo,” the ER24 said in a statement. “The bus later fell over the highway bridge into a river that runs below, falling on the left side,” he added.
